After a one-day session for songs that would end up on the previous “Transmission” EP, Low went in for this full length with engineer Steve Albini. Despite his reputation as a no-nonsense technical punisher, Albini found and turned up the intimacy and depth, making the most of some of Low's most endearing and enduring songs. All while giving grit and edge to songs like the cathartic “Don’t Understand”, “Two-Step” and “Weight of Water”, so vivid and warm .
