Low’s tenth studio album, C’mon (2011), finds the Duluth trio returning to a more organic, warmly produced sound after the stark experimentation and political undercurrents of Drums and Guns (2007). While it does not exactly reprise the minimalist subtlety of their earliest records, C’mon strikes a balance between Low’s penchant for hushed intimacy and the more textured, sometimes expansive arrangements they embraced throughout the 2000s.
